Number of Repetitions:   Perform 5 cycles (right and left side), each day for 1 week.

Goal:    To easily attain each position without external guidance or assistance.

Exercise:    

1. Lie in the same starting position as the Fish exercise (Figure 1).

2.Turn head to the left. As head is turning, slide left elbow down toward waist and bend left knee up towards waist. (Figure 2).

3. Hold for 3 seconds, then return to the starting position.

  1. Repeat sequence on left side.

 

Observations:

  • Unable to attain lizard position without verbal or tactile assistance.

  • Arm and leg move at different speeds or at different times.

  • Unable to move arm and leg in a smooth manner.
